Your views and information updates Danestone and Braehead

Aberdeen City Council is proposing to:

Re-zone the Grandholm Village area from Braehead School to Danestone School and consequently from Bridge of Don Academy to Oldmachar Academy with implementation from August 2014.

Existing pupils currently enrolled in Braehead School and Bridge of Don Academy would continue in their current school until they reach the end of their school career or their parents/carers wish to withdraw their child.

A period of statutory consultation commences on 13 January 2014 and ends on 28 February 2014. 

Public meeting

A public consultation meeting will be held on:

Tuesday 28 January 2014 from 19.00 to 20.30 at Danestone School.

In addition, officers will provide one opportunity per school to meet with Parent Council representatives to discuss the proposals. 

Other requests from relevant partner organisations will be considered by officers as appropriate.

All submissions shall be published on the Aberdeen City Council web site and within subsequent reports to committee. Respondents are requested to avoid the inclusion of personal information such as children's names, medical conditions etc within their responses.

All submissions expressing views on the proposals detailed in this document should be made in writing or by email by 5.00pm on Friday 28 February 2014. It is intended to respond to issues raised from correspondence within a report presented to the Education, Culture and Sport Committee.
