How we use your information
Aberdeen City Council provides a bookings and hire service at a number of venues. As part of this service we will collect your name, phone number, email and correspondence address. This information will be stored with regard to your hire and will be used to make your booking, to send any correspondence, and where applicable to forward any charge due.
We may share your information with management and administrative staff.
How long we keep your information for
We will keep the information for 5 years.
You’ve got legal rights about the way the Council handles and uses your data, which include the right to ask for a copy of it, and to ask us to stop doing something with your data.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Information Commissioner’s Office. They are the body responsible for making sure organisations like the Council handle your data lawfully.
Our legal basis
Wherever the Council processes personal data, we need to make sure we have a legal basis for doing so in data protection law. The Council understands our legal basis for processing personal data in relation to your application as Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation. This is because the information is provided as part of a contract in order for you to book and let accommodation from us.
